Thoughts of the Month

Juliet: It’s been a crazy month – coming back from Asia, then hopping on a plane to California, then driving up to Acadia National Park in Maine, then going to Inbound Conference to witness the one and only Michelle Obama… It’s not a good excuse as to why there has been a lack of content from me these past couple of weeks, but it is my reason. And I apologize – to both you guys and Annie!

Annie: September has been an interesting month for me, as I spent most of it in Bangkok. Somehow time flew by and I’m now back in Taiwan. While in Bangkok, I revisited a few of my favorite places, ate some yummy food, and enjoyed the company of my parents. Back in Taiwan and ready to move forward with life.

Things We’ve Been Enjoying

  • The TV show Big Little Lies. I watched the first 3 episodes on my flight from New York to Taiwan, and I was hooked. Finished the last 4 episodes in 2 days, and I really hope they come back for a second season!
  • My favorite podcast episodes this month is from Masters of Scale Uncut Interview with Crisis Text Line’s Nancy Lublin. It was my first time hearing about Nancy, who is a total badass who has been CEOs of several non-profits, including Dress for Success and Crisis Text Line. In the interview, you’re able to tell that she’s not scared of running into sticky situations that others would run from, like going into a company that just laid off a bunch of people. Her straightforward attitude is so appealing, and she is on my “Badass Bitches” list now.

Let us know in the comments below what you’ve been enjoying or thinking about this week!
