February 2018 Favorites

  • My friend Enya and I are taking salsa dancing classes on Tuesday nights at 8:30 pm. There are always more females than males, so the instructors have us rotate partners throughout the class. In salsa, there’s a lead (usually male) and a follower (usually female). The first week that we partnered together, the leads in the class were a bit hesitant in leading so it was a bit of a mess. They got better during the second week when we learned how to turn. It’s so fun! Here’s a video:

  • This video of people thanking Chadwick Boseman for Black Panther made me cry. I feel so happy that so many groups that have been underrepresented for such a long time finally see themselves on the screen. I can’t wait for one day to see more Asian representation in American entertainment.

Let us know in the comments below what you’ve been enjoying or thinking about this week!
